Fredric Jameson, a great literary and cultural theorist and undoubtedly one of the most important left-wing intellectuals of the second half of the 20th century, died on 22 September 2024 at the age of 91. He left behind an extensive and highly valuable body of work which, despite the variety of topics he dealt with, clearly demonstrates his unwavering commitment to Marxism on the one hand and his resolute undogmatism and great openness to different theoretical influences on the other.
On this occasion, the Centre for Theoretical Research in the Humanities and the Department of Comparative Literature of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb organised a one-day colloquium on Friday, 31 January 2025, in the Council Hall of the Faculty. .
